  • Produced a video on Fair Housing for Volunteers of America. This video became mandatory viewing for all new employees.
  • Trains Fair Housing Testers and does testing to discover discrimination in rental properties.
  • Have had several articles published in trade magazines and news papers on Property Management, Customer Service and Fair Housing.
  • Past President of Community Associations Institute. Tidewater, Virginia. Chapter moved from probation to most improved chapter in the Nation during presidency.
  • Speaks at dinner meetings for Apartment Associations on Fair Housing.
  • Facilitated a conference on Housing for Persons with Disabilities. Over 200 attendees. Severely injured Viet Nam veteran, who became a Mayor, was our keynote speaker.
  • Served on the Community Housing Resource Board, Peninsula, Virginia.
  • Served on Community Housing Resource Board, Tampa Florida.
  • Founder of the Fair Housing Institute, a company that specialized in training and testing.
  • Served as a board member of the Rural Rental Housing Association, Virginia.

  • Founding board member, Friends of the Homeless. We built a homeless shelter in Newport News, Virginia.
  • Co-Founder Harrick and Turner, a fair housing company that provided training. Company was contracted by the Virginia Real Estate Board to provide state wide fair housing training. First in the nation to use Transaction Recovery Funds to provide this training, which included the testimony of a victim of housing discrimination.
  • Served on the Fair Housing Advisory Board to the Virginia Real Estate Board.
  • Founder of three successful real estate and property management companies in Virginia and Florida.
  • Served as Senior Vice President and Director of Property Operations on all affordable properties throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico for the largest owner/manager of residential properties in the nation. This company is listed on the S & P 500.
